Making Artists' Books with Carol Wood and Stephanie Fitch

Join this workshop - an opportunity to challenge our creative skills.

Book Art is about books, and our ideas and creativity with paper, to make the familiar strange, to see things in new ways. We will use skills in making, and in drawing, painting, printing, and collage. Artists’ Books, an increasingly popular art form, lend themselves to expressing themes and ideas in whatever way inspires…

In this starter workshop, during the morning we will learn basic bookmaking skills to make a concertina sketchbook that could be used at the Creative Sketchbooks course next year or used during the afternoon activity. After lunch we will explore different ways in which we may use paper and card creatively to take a new look at a subject of your choice or we suggest the following: ‘What Clevedon means to me’.
