    68TH OPEN EXHIBITION 2026

  • 22nd-30th August; open to the public 10.30-4pm

    TALKS
    Talks at Club meetings are usually held once a month on the evening of the second Tuesday of the month, usually starting at 7:30pm.  Come along to hear renowned artists and curators talk about their passions and what drives them. Times and venues vary so check below.
    Free for Club members. There is a £5 charge for non-members.

    PAINTING WORKSHOPS
    Workshops by renown artists take place on Saturdays from 10:00am – 4:00pm in the Art Block at Clevedon School. 

  • SOME SESSIONS take place at other Clevedon venues. Check location when booking!

    Cost: £40 for members,

    GOOD FOUNDATION DRAWING

    These workshop sessions are designed for members who are beginners or want to brush up their drawing/painting skills. Held once a month on a Saturday to be advised from 9.30am - 12.30pm, usually in the Art Block at Clevedon School. 

    Cost: £22 for members

  • ABSTRACT ART EVENINGS
    These gatherings are held at the Sailing Club, Clevedon BS21 7QU

    • Untutored sessions are held on a Wednesday evening 7pm-9.30pm. Free for Club members.

    • These informal sessions are for Club members who would like to be with other abstract artists.

  • EN PLEIN AIRE EVENTS
    These painting events are held at VARIOUS locations, within a 25 mile radius

    • Our untutored outings are for Club members who would like to paint outside, on location, in all weathers!

    • Car share liasion essential

  • THE BRACKENWOOD SESSIONS
    These gatherings are held at Brackenwood Plant & Garden Centre, Abbots Leigh, BS8 3RA.

    • Untutored sessions are held on a Sunday morning to be advised, from 11:00am - 2:00pm.

      • Cost: usually about £4.00 each (approx hire of the room cost is £34.50, which is shared between those attending).

      • These informal sessions are for Club members who would like to do some botanical artwork using plants from the garden centre or simply to work on a piece of artwork of your choice in a relaxed setting.

      • Add to the enjoyment by buying tea, coffee, cake or lunch from the Garden Centre cafe!

    • LIFE DRAWING

      Tutored and untutored sessions are held on the first Saturday of the month from 10:00am – 1:00pm Upstairs in the Art Block at Clevedon School. For Club members only.

      Cost: Untutored: £10 for members only. Tutored: £15 for members only. Please pay by BACs ; Chris has the details.

    WILD PAINTING; MEET UPS

    This is an informal Whatsapp Group that meets when members suggest a time and place of their choosing. Inspired by Sam Brought’s work.

    PUB CLUB 

    This social gathering meets once a month, usually on Thursdays, starting at 7:30pm at The Salthouse Bar and Restaurant in Clevedon BS21 7T. It’s a chance to meet up and get to know each other. Come and have a drink and a natter!

    These sessions are held outside usually on a Sunday afternoon. Cost: Free for Club members.

ARTISTS’ BOOKS CLEVEDON: ABC!

This group of artists who get together occasionally to share a book structure and we set ourselves a theme to make for our next meeting. We have only just got going so are finding our way and new members are very welcome to join our supportive group whose experience of book structures ranges from none to extensive, so no prior experience needed! Free to members.

The next meeting is…10-1pm

  • 26/27 June, Bristol Artists' Books Event at Spike Island, Bristol. 

Venue: check with Carol. Bring your own refreshments. Beginners welcome and it’s free to all members.
