I have been painting watercolours for about 15 years when I get the time around a busy working life.

I love travelling and painting plein air. I have been lucky enough to paint in France, Italy and Catalonia in Spain. I am inspired by the great watercolour painters, Sargent and Holmer and I know a number of the Melbourne 20 in Australia who have been an influence as I look to develop my style in the medium. I believe in pushing the boundaries of watercolour and have fun in painting. I have exhibited since 2011 in the open exhibition and been fortunate to win awards in 2012,2013 and 2016.

I am hoping to retire next year and my wish is to teach the wonders of watercolour and paint more plein air. I will also look to get website up and running too!

I am a self-taught printmaker working with a variety of techniques including drypoint engraving on metal, white-line woodcut and linocut.  I enjoy experimenting with these media to create different sorts of images and some pictures are shown here in the Gallery.  I also print small editions of cards that I design, hand print and finish so that each is a small, unique artwork in itself.
