Clevedon Sketchers

These urban sketching sessions are held en plein air in and around Clevedon, whatever the weather!

• Untutored sessions are held on a Sunday afternoon to be advised, from 2:00pm.

Many artists enjoy sketching when they are out-and-about. Clevedon Sketchers meet in and around Clevedon on a Sunday afternoon for about two hours before showing our work to each other. We often choose an area with a local cafe so we can finish with a cuppa and a chat. 

The meetings are free to all Club members. Just bring your artists’ materials, something to sit on and off we go!

We aim to meet up throughout the year, as long as the weather permits. Sometimes we just meet up at a cafe if the elements are unfavourable.

During the Covid pandemic, Clevedon Sketchers ‘virtually’ visited Florence, Alaska, Cornwall, and Scandinavia and sketched together via Zoom. We enjoyed having the opportunity to sketch in the company of others and at the end of each session we held up our work to the camera to show it to our fellow sketchers.
