Abstracted Landscapes are my thing. Big marks+ bold colours: Dynamic translation of the countryside, reflecting the weather and the identity of the location. My work is always evolving but colour is my main driver. I mostly make art that I like and if it sells I get to make more of what I like. So, it's a win, win situation.
I create in response to physically being somewhere amazing, I sketch a lot when I'm out and about and snap endlessly with my phone.... and sometimes one location just works in my head. I find I'm thinking about one sketch in particular and so I make time to paint it. Usually in one session!...then with some reflection I return to add an element or fine tune it. Each one is individual and graphic
