Using ink to explore ways of drawing and applying washes.
Focus on mark making with pen and ink using different tools and techniques. Use line drawing and develop ways of varying line quality.
Experiment with different techniques for applying ink to wet and dry paper, discover the different types of ink and their limitations.
Ink and non-latex gloves supplied.

Materials to bring along
An apron or old shirt…its messy!
300gsm watercolour paper, rough or smooth. 3-4 sheets A3.
Synthetic brushes, mainly smaller ones.
Deep dish palette (about 8 sections) or maybe 8 small pots for mixing inks.
Water sprayer
Pencil
An a3 sized box or bag to bring dampish work home.
