Pastels Masterclass with Michelle Lucking

Michelle majors in detailed realism, though a mix of pastel layering, blending, and use of pastel pencil.
She either works from life or photo reference.

A keen sea swimmer and photographer, Michelle draws on her own reference photos and immediate experiences of the sea and swimming to recreate and convey the emotions and narrative of water, using both realism and scale, and capturing light and movement, to draw the viewer into her paintings.
