Exploring Ink - Margret Mickelwright

We will be exploring the many qualities of ink as a medium.

Beyond ink and wash we will look at the effects that can be achieved by using wet paper or simply spraying the ink and pushing it in various ways.

Margaret is a landscape painter and suggests that Members bring their own inspirational landscape material. In the afternoon we will return to the drawing qualities of ink and we will look at still life to explore how expressive it can be for line and tone.

Margaret will begin by demonstrating images of flowers to introduce the various inks and their properties.

Bring your own lunch and a drink.
