Hamish Young RWA - The genesis of an installation

Hamish Young RWA will talk on "The genesis of an installation" about the origins and development of his interactive installation 'Field' in Portishead last September, which was visited by over a thousand people in its two-day life span.

Hamish's work is autoethnographic, drawing on feelings of loss and abandonment from his experiences as an adoptee and boarded child. This talk will explore the connections between his personal experiences and his artwork concepts and production methods, as well as the way in which audiences interact with his installations.
