Abstraction – chaos and structure; a one-day workshop
In this workshop we will explore “the richness and versatility, depth and subtlety that lie in this tension between structure and chaos. Using a variety of mark making techniques and materials, we will touch on themes such as formlessness and equilibrium, order and uncertainty, geometry and gesture…”
Nick will discuss his working process and inspirations with a brief slide show.
Nick Moore is an abstract painter, writer and improvising musician. All three strands of his work are connected in their embracing of the tension between structure and chaos. His work is rooted in spontaneity and improvisation, combining the elements of chance and deliberation, what in music John Cage talked about as ‘considered improvisation’.
