Paul Riley Flowers in Gardens- Watercolour

· During the course of the workshop Paul will share his skills and techniques through several demonstrations. Paul will also use feedback to enable the participants to build confidence in their own painting. We will explore the myriad shapes and colours presented by nature bringing the garden into the studio. Paul will demonstrate the use of appropriate brushes and how to deal with differing leaf shapes wildflowers petal variations, composition and will also introduce the figure.
Paul suggests participants bring garden photographs together with sketch suggestions for an image.
At the age of fifteen Paul’s work was accepted for the Royal Academy’s Summer Exhibition. He graduated from the Kingston School of Art in 1965’ working at that time mainly in oils and printmaking. His interest in watercolour grew and today he is one of Britain’s leading watercolourists
