Re Clevedon Art Club – New Eyes, new ideas
On Tuesday, 16th October there is a change to our programme, instead of the “Crit Evening” which usually preceded the Members Autumn Exhibition the Committee would like to cordially invite you to join the Committee Members to hear about how they have arranged the Clubs activities since the AGM this year.
As usual we have had a full programme of monthly meetings, workshops, outings and of course our Open Exhibition. The Committee have been very pleased to bring these events to you, and would like to have your views on how the Club has fared and how you would like it to be taken forward into 2019 in three key areas: Leadership and Management, Exhibitions and the Events Programme.
The Club has achieved a great deal over the last sixty-two years; we have a substantial Membership and now holds two of the best local art shows in the area, as well as encouraging our young budding artists from the School. This is all down to the work done by a host of ordinary Members who “muck-in” to help out when needed.
From next years AGM the next Committee needs to have a clearer view of where the Club should be putting its efforts, and hopefully some new Committee Members to steer its passage. The Club has a number of Committee roles which are currently or will be vacant following the AGM including Membership Secretary and most importantly, the Chairman! New Committee Members bring new pairs of eyes and may bring new ideas!
Please come along at 7:30pm for a glass of wine, and nibbles; meet the existing Committee and let us know how you feel we should move on,
