Our Music Themed Evening - A Roaring Success

The 'Painting and Drawing Musicians and their Music' club evening was such a success.

There was a buzz in the room as we were entertained by the fabulous Kevin Malton and his daughter with her oh so beautiful, soulful voice. This was followed up by the delightful Wednesday Orchestra who played a lovely medley mix of classics.

What a challenge they all set us. Drawing life models is a difficult enough task but when they are moving well suffice to say we all had our struggles, but oh how much fun we all had – no one ever said it would be easy!

The comments we received at the end summed up everyone's evening, 'so different and so enjoyable', 'What a lovely evening - so inspiring', 'Can we do it again please', 'I enjoyed it so much'.

The feedback was much the same from the musicians who all enjoyed something so different.

We were all a bit nervous -the musicians in exposing their music and us the club in exposing our artistic endeavours. It'll be great to see some of the resulting paintings. If you came along, please share your art with us. If it was done on the night or produced as a follow up using the photos and sketches you did on the night, it's all valid. Share your work with us, upload it to the website now, or let us have your photos and we'll do the rest. We'd love to see what you produce.

A collection on the night to thank the Musicians for giving up their time raised money for Help for Heroes. Thanks to everyone involved.
